Renovation of a fire / police facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Douglas County will accept sealed bids on a combined Construction contract, including General Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical work, from qualified Contractors for Douglas County, Nebraska on or before the bid opening date, as per the project specifications. Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis and shall be in accord with the Instruction to Bidders. Materials to be incorporated into the complete project shall be purchased tax exempt in the name of the Owner, and the Bidder shall exclude from his Bid all Sate of Nebraska and Local Options Sales and Use Tax for such materials in accordance with the General and Supplementary Conditions of the Contract for Construction. All contractors submitting bids for the work are representing that they have carefully examined the site and building and are familiar with all conditions that may affect the Work under the Contract. Questions and substitution requests must be submitted via email to bidquestions@douglascounty-ne.gov no later than Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Answers to questions will be posted via addendum no later than Friday, August 21, 2020. Checks for Shipping and Handling should be made out to A&D Technical Supply. Plans may also be purchased on a CD at a non-refundable cost of $25.00. The CD will contain the entire set of drawings and specifications in PDF format. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. A bid bond executed by a duly authorized surety and in appropriate form may be submitted in lieu of the deposit of money or certified check. All deposits of money, certified checks or bid bonds must be submitted in separate sealed envelopes plainly identified. The deposit money, certified check or bid bond will be held as surety as to assure that the bidder will enter into a contract and furnish the required performance and payment bonds. The bid security should be made payable to Douglas County Nebraska. The deposit money, certified checks or bids bonds of the unsuccessful bidders shall be returned as soon as the successful bidder is determined. The deposit of money, certified check or bid bond of the successful bidder shall be returned upon the execution of the contract documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any formalities or irregularities in bidding
