Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Normal, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
As of Sept 23 the project was awarded to H.J. Eppel & Co. for $280,736.15. This project consists of constructing a hot-mix asphalt multiuse trail at the east end of Eagle's Landing subdivision in the Town of Normal, Illinois. The proposed improvement consists of the following approximate quantities: 1,136 CY Earth Excavation; 1.00 acre Seeding, Class 1; 90 pounds each Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium Fertilizer Nutrients; 1.00 acre Mulch, Method 2; 1,429 tons Aggregate Base Course, Type B; 10,100 pounds Bituminous Materials (Prime Coat); 470 tons HMA Surface Course, Mix C, N50; 3,967 square feet PCC Sidewalk, 4"; 210 square feet PCC Sidewalk, 8"; 85 square yards PCC Driveway Pavement, 8"; 60 feet Combination Curb and Gutter Removal; 125 square feet Sidewalk Removal; 12 feet Storm Sewers, Class A, Type 1, 12"; 6 each Valve Boxes to be Adjusted; 1 each Inlets, Type A, with Type 1 Frame and Open Lid; 3 each Manholes to be Adjusted with New Ty. 70 Closed Lid; 84 feet Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Type B-6.18; 60 feet Curb Removal (Special); and all other necessary items and incidentals required to complete the project according to the plans and specifications. The Town of Normal reserves the right to reject any or all bids received. The bid award will be made by the Town Council and their decision will be final.
