Renovation of a transportation facility in Seatac, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
**As of October 20, 2020, project has not been awarded. Women and Minority Business Enterprise Commitment Plan Form shall be completed and submitted with the Bid or within one (1) hour after the published Bid submittal time. Each bid must include a bid guarantee in the form of a cashier's check, money order, or surety bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, The Work includes: The project will replace or modify the medium-voltage fused switches, with medium-voltage breakers in the Concourse Cl.2, C2, PER. D, Cooling Towers#! & #2(CTA) and Cooling Towers #3, #4 & #5 (CTB) Power Centers. The purpose is to reduce the severity or mitigate Arc Flash incident energy levels to below 40cal/cm2 while still maintaining coordination with both upstream and downstream protective devices. In addition, the project will replace existing relays in NTD and STD to newer models with adjustable settings, and add thermal imaging windows in MV circuit breakers and transformers for the power centers listed above. Lastly, a communications interface will be provided via a wall mounted, enclosure for power centers Cl.2, C2, PER. D, and CTB for a future connection to the SCADA system. Location: Seattle-Tacoma International .Airport, 17801 International Boulevard, Citv of SeaTac, WA 981.68 The Engineer's estimate range for this project is $3.5 - 5.3 Million. Performance and Payment bonds will be required with the Contract. Time limit for substantial completion of the work is 458 calendar days. In support of the WMBE community, the Port of Seattle has established a WMBE utilization goal of 8% for this contract.
