The work to be done is located in the City of Fremont, California, and consists of installation of temporary portable pumps skid installation including installation of temporary conduits and conductors to transmit portable pumps statuses and additional field data remotely to District's operations; replacement of electrical and control system equipment consisting of main switchboard, motor control center, generator receptacle, and associated devices; relocation of existing Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and backpanel; installation of District-furnished Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) backpanel; installation of a raised concrete pad with concrete piers and stairs; installation of safety hand railing; site earthwork and grading; selective demolition of various civil and electrical improvements, and; other miscellaneous components of the project as described in contract documents. Engineer's Estimated Cost: $800,000 to $900,000 All Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check, payable to the Alameda County Water District, or a Bidder's Bond so payable executed by a corporation admitted to transact business as a surety in the State of California and subject to the jurisdiction of the California Insurance Commissioner in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the Total for Comparison of Proposals, which is the total of Payment Item Schedule A plus Payment Item Schedule B. All bidders are required to provide a bid security. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the successful Bidder may submit certain securities in lieu of the District retaining a portion of progress payments during the project. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, both in the amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the award as stated in the District's Notice of Award.
