Renovation of a municipal facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project intent is to increase thermal performance of the exterior walls, the changes must also improve their ability to control water, air, and vapor pressures. Removing the exterior cladding and providing additional insulation to the exterior of the building. The current assumption is that said insulation will be 104 mm thick with nominal RSI 3.52 (R-20); Installing new pre-formed metal cladding on exterior walls; Coordinating with windows replacement project GOC2777081; Improving air tightness of the façade through the targeted installation of air barrier sealants and membranes at building transition details (or through installation of a new air/ vapour barrier); Mitigating the exposed interior SPF condition at the junction of the exterior walls and the roof; Repairing and/or repointing concrete block as required; Refinishing all remaining exterior doors, frames, and other exposed surfaces, and; Removing and replacing all damaged caulking and sealants. TIMELINE: Tender will be issued publicly upon owner's decision to proceed. Timing is unreleased.
