Benoit Detention Center Offsite Storm Drain, Street, Landscape and Traffic Signal Improvements Project Phase II Bids shall be prepared in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders and other Bidding Documents. The Bidder receiving the Award by the County is required: (1) to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided in the Instructions to Bidders and other Bidding Documents; (2) both at the time Bidder submits its Bid and other Bid Submittals and at the time of Award, to: (a) hold a contracting license, active and in good standing, issued by the Contractors State License Board for the State of California for the following license classification(s): A; and (b) hold, or designate a Subcontractor that holds, the certification(s) required by Applicable Laws to perform the following work: roadway improvements, landscape and irrigation improvement, traffic signing & striping, and traffic signal modifications; and (3) to comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code, including, without limitation, Sections 1771.4, 1773.1, 1774, 1775 and 1776 of the California Labor Code and including, without limitation, the obligations to pay the general prevailing rates of wages in the locality in which the Work is to be performed and comply with Section 1777.5 of the California Labor Code governing employment of apprentices. Benoit Detention Center, consists of roadway improvements, which include the roadway improvements, signing and striping on Highway 111 from Arabia Street to Smurr Street and on Oasis Street from Highway 111 to the north of Hartford Avenue; traffic signal modification at the intersection of Highway 111 and Oasis Street; Landscape improvements, which include median landscape planting and irrigation system. Construction of approximately 2,040 linear feet of roadway improvements on Highway 111, and approximately 1,440 linear feet of roadway improvements on Oasis Street. The roadway improvement includes but not limited to construction of curb, curb and gutter, sidewalk, cross-gutter, driveway, curb ramp, asphalt pavement over class II aggregate base, street lights and misc. removal and relocation. Construction of Landscaped median on Highway 111 and Oasis Street, approximately 18,000 square feet of median. The landscape improvement includes but not limited to construction of irrigation system, hardscape of grouted cobble, decomposed granite, cobble and decorative boulders, planting of trees, palm trees and shrubs. Remove existing street lights with overhead electrical and construction new street lights with LED lamp and underground electrical conduit. Construction of Traffic Signal Modifications of the Intersection of Highway 111 and Oasis Street. Install traffic signs, pavement parkers, and striping for the project. The Work shall consist of all traffic control (including furnishing and installing all arrowboards, barricades, signs, delineators, and flagmen); all utility relocation, adjust to grade or protect in place; all existing pavement removal and disposal; replacing all asphalt concrete pavement including asphalt concrete overlays; replacing destroyed survey monuments; disposing of excess soil and existing pavement and base material and restoring all areas and improvements to pre-construction conditions.
