Renovation of a multi-residential development in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Working plans call for the renovation of a 47,593-square-foot, 10-story above grade multi-residential development.
The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA) invites qualified Trade Contractor firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for the Modernization of Truman Apartments project as designed by BWA Architecture. This project is being performed under M.G.L. c. 149A Construction Manager at Risk. Shawmut Design and Construction is the selected CM firm. The project includes replacement of systems and interior upgrades to an 8-story building with 59 units (approximately 46,502 square feet), as well as 1,091 square feet of additions (an expanded front vestibule as well as a two-story addition in the back). The project will last approximately 16 months and will begin in January 2021. Masonry; Misc. Metals; Waterproofing, Dampproofing, and Caulking; Roofing; Metal Windows; Resilient Flooring; Tile; Painting; Plumbing; HVAC; Electrical The committee is prequalifying the following Trade Contractor Packages (with estimated amounts as indicated): Masonry-$383,000; Misc. Metals-$151,000; Waterproofing, Dampproofing, and Caulking-$405,000; Roofing-$370,000; Metal Windows-$1,034,000; Resilient Flooring-$359,000; Tile-$199,000; Painting-$309,000; Plumbing - $1,196,000; HVAC- $2,543,000; Electrical-$1,443,000.
