This Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued to cover the cost to the Authority for Roof Replacements at the Richard A. Reynolds Groundwater Desalination Facility. From this RFQ, the Authority will award and contract one service provider (Contractor). Sweetwater Authority encourages participation by local, small and/or disadvantaged businesses. The Service Provider shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, including a portable restroom for use by the Service Provider. This work entails the installation of a Johns Manville single ply roof system; [TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin, a single-ply roofing membrane that covers the surface of the roof] over the existing standing seam metal roof. The existing clear translucent panels will be replaced with curb mount double dome acrylic skylights. Prep existing metal roof for membrane installation. o Install wood curbs for new curb mounted skylights. Raise existing curbs as needed for exhaust fans. o Fill in between standing seam ribs with 3" ISO insulation and cover with 1/4 " Securock cover board and mechanically with purlin screws and Rhino Plates. o Secure down Johns Manville 60 Mil. TPO by heat induction and heat weld laps. Color: White o Fully adhere TPO to inner gutters, parapet walls, and equipment curbs. Panels on parapet wall will be removed and saved for re-installation. o Install all necessary pipe boots, sealants, clamps, and accessories to form a leak proof roof. o Install TPO walk pad leading to exhaust fans, follow existing walk paths on current roof. o Replace all downspouts from roof top to drain on asphalt. o Clean up and haul away all roof related debris. o All workmanship shall be guaranteed for (2) years by service provider, and a (20) year, No Dollar Limit, (NDL) registered warranty by Johns Manville. The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all safety precautions and programs, including personal protective equipment, in connection with the performance of the services provided. The Authority’s Project Manager or designated representative from the Plant Maintenance staff will arrive on the job site at the start of a task and inspect as necessary for the desired outcome. If necessary, Sweetwater Engineering Inspectors will complete the inspection. Contractor shall give notices and comply with all applicable laws and regulations of any public body having jurisdiction for the safety of persons or property and to protect them from damage, injury or loss, and shall erect and maintain all necessary safeguards for such safety and protection
