Greenwood Commissioners of Public Works (Owner) is requesting Bids from General Contractors licensed in the state of South Carolina for the construction of the following Project: Raw Water Line Project, Intake #1 WP-8-2020 The Project includes the following Work: Replacing the existing 130 lf of 24" SCH40 .690" thickness steel piping affixed to the walkway/bridge leading to the Intake #1 Pump House. This work will take place at the Wise Water Treatment Plant, at 202 Water Plant Road, Greenwood SC 29649. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. The Owner will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents or electronic documents on compact disk will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method chosen. All prospective bidders shall RSVP at least 48-hours prior to the pre-bid conference by sending an email to Greenwood CPW's Water Plant Superintendent, David Tuck, at dtuck@greenwoodcpw.com or 864-953-2411. Attendance will be limited to two (2) persons per agency, who will be asked to maintain at least 6-feet distance from attendees from other agencies during the conference. Each attendee will be asked to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire before entering the building. If the attendee has elevated risk for COVID-19 based on the questionnaire, they may be denied entry. The COVID-19 screening questionnaire may be made available to prospective bidders upon request. Any bidder who may require special accommodations due to the COVID-19 crisis may make a request to the Construction Services Coordinator. The Owner will attempt to make reasonable accommodations, but cannot make any guarantees.
