In general, the work consists of replacing the control panels at four lift stations and two detention pond pump stations. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Cashier's or Certified Check on a nation or state bank or a Bidder's Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, payable without recourse to the Owner, as a guarantee that bidder will enter into a contract and furnish executed Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) calendar days after Notice of Award of Contract Within ten (10) calendar days after written notification of the Award of the Contract, the Contractor shall file with the Owner a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price, as evidenced by the proposal, from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as a surety (and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding a certificate of authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States). Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid from any responsible person which will be most advantageous to it and result in the best and most economical completion of the Work. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in full amount of the contract.
