Proposal was received from A. D. Miller Construction Services. Question Acceptance Deadline: 09/07/2020 04:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online: No Arapahoe County Purchasing Division will be accepting proposals from qualified professional contractors for the purpose of designing, permitting, providing, and installing covered walkways at multiple facilities in Arapahoe County. Construction must be completed prior to December 15, 2020 to meet funding requirements. Provide and install a covered walkway at each of the following facilities. - Arapahoe Plaza District Courts, 1790 W Littleton Blvd., Littleton CO (AHJ Littleton) Approx. 75' x 8' wide of canopy at entrance and north along the east side of the building, totaling approximately 700 sq ft., approximately as shown on attached View 1. Project includes the following: Premanufacture and installation of metal canopy per architect's drawings (under development, to be provided post-bid) and Arapahoe County requirements provided in this solicitation. Manufacturer to provide multiple finish options and levels of finish as bid alternates. Specify base finish options included in bid. Finishes to be factory applied baked enamel or equal, approved by owner and architect. Assume low-sloping flat roof, sloping away from building. Coordinate entrance canopy with existing glazing at building entrance. Provide rain gutters or other method for carrying stormwater away from building. Provide related structural design services as necessary for permitting and design. Provide installation of conduit and boxes for LED safety lighting that will be specified by electrical engineer. Additional work that may be requested at site (not to be included in bid) includes design-build fire protection system as necessary (TBD by Architect) and removal and replacement of handrail and guardrail per Architect's Drawings. - Arapahoe Plaza Human Services, 1690 W Littleton Blvd., Littleton CO (AHJ Littleton) Approx. Dimensions for bidding, approximately as shown on attached View 2: Area 1: Approximately 600 sq ft of canopy at main entrance. Area 2: Extend option 1 for another 80' +/- (approximately 650 sq ft additional) to the west along the north side of the building. Project includes the following: Premanufacture and installation of metal canopy per architect's drawings (under development) and Arapahoe County requirements provided in this solicitation. Manufacturer to provide multiple finish options and levels of finish as bid alternates. Specify base finish options included in bid. Finishes to be factory applied baked enamel or equal, approved by owner and architect. Assume low-sloping flat roof, sloping away from building. Centrepoint, 14980 E Alameda Parkway, Aurora CO (AHJ Aurora), approximately as shown on View 3. Approximate dimensions for bidding: Canopy 1: Approximately 1600 sq ft (65 x 25') of entry canopy. Drain into planters if possible. Canopy 2: approx. 150 lf of sidewalk canopy along south wall extending approximately 150' to west from entry (1200 sq ft). Scope includes removing existing window overhangs. Coordinate height of canopy with glazing to allow sunlight to enter building above canopy. Canopy 3: Approximately 85' x 8' wide of canopy over sidewalk at southeast side of building (approx. 700 sq ft). The project consists of metal walkway canopies, including an entrance canopy that will partially cover the entry plaza. Canopies are to be kept separated from the building and be structurally self-supporting. The project includes: Premanufacture and installation of metal canopy per architect's drawings and Arapahoe County requirements provided in this solicitation. Manufacturer to provide multiple finish options and levels of finish as bid alternates. Specify base finish options included in bid. Finishes to be factory applied baked enamel or equal, approved by owner and architect. Assume low-sloping flat roof, sloping away from building. Sidewalk canopies to sheet water into garden or landscape areas. Sidewalk canopies to cantilever from structural posts on the south side Provide related structural design services as necessary for permitting and design. Provide installation of conduit and boxes for LED safety lighting that will be specified by electrical engineer. Additional work that may be requested at site (not to be included in bid) includes design-build fire protection system as necessary (TBD by Architect). Arapahoe County Justice Center, 7325 S Potomac St., Centennial (AHJ Centennial), View 4. Approximate dimension for canopy if 30' across by approximately 80' long (approximately 2400 sq ft). The project consists of metal walkway canopy at main entrance to the Arapahoe County Justice Center. Canopy is to be kept separated from the building and be structurally selfsupporting. The site has a significant grade and the structure will need to be stepped. The project includes: Premanufacture and installation of metal canopy per architect's drawings and Arapahoe County requirements provided in this solicitation. Manufacturer to provide multiple finish options and levels of finish as bid alternates. Specify base finish options included in bid. Finishes to be factory applied baked enamel or equal, approved by owner and architect. Assume low-sloping flat roof, directing water into landscape areas. Provide related structural design services as necessary for permitting and design. Provide installation of conduit and boxes for LED safety lighting that will be specified by electrical engineer. Remove and reinstall existing signage from entry to canopy entry. Additional work that may be requested at site (not to be included in bid) includes design-build fire protection system as necessary (TBD by Architect). - Lima/Centennial DMV, 6954 S Lima St., Centennial CO (AHJ Arapahoe County) Approximate Dimensions for canopy is approximately 80' long (700 sq ft), per View 5. The project consists of a metal walkway canopy that will cover the existing walkway from the entrance and continue west along the north side of the facility. The canopy is to be kept separated from the building and be structurally self-supporting. The project includes: Premanufacture and installation of metal canopy per architect's drawings and Arapahoe County requirements provided in this solicitation. Manufacturer to provide multiple finish options and levels of finish as bid alternates. Specify base finish options included in bid. Finishes to be factory applied baked enamel or equal, approved by owner and architect. Assume low-sloping flat roof, sheeting water into landscape areas. Gutters or other method of moving storm water will be necessary at entrance canopy. Provide related structural design services as necessary for permitting and design. Provide installation of conduit and boxes for LED safety lighting that will be specified by electrical engineer. Existing curved steel architectural element to be removed and relocated to the front of the new canopy at the entry. Remove and reinstall existing signage from entry to canopy entry. Coordinate canopy height and structure with existing glazing per Architect's drawings to be provided. Additional work that may be requested at site (not to be included in bid) includes design-build fire protection system as necessary (TBD by Architect)
