The City of Littleton is requesting proposals from trained professionals to conduct a conclusive inventory update. This includes standard tree risk assessments on each updated tree. The inventory shall include genus, species, GPS points, photos, DBH, and a tree risk assessment. The City has approximately 3703 urban trees (Scope 1) that are maintained by city staff, plus an additional 1,000 trees (Scope 2A & 2B) along the Highline Canal. This does not account for the numerous trees located within South Suburban Parks and Recreation maintained parks or on private property. Historically, Littleton has not kept detailed records on tree management. Therefore, this project will serve as the baseline data entry for the city to utilize in creating an Emerald Ash Borer Management Plan as well as the large-scale Urban Forestry Management Plan.
