Renovation of a residential development in East Chicago, Indiana. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Notice is hereby given that the City of East Chicago, Lake County, Indiana, by and through its Department of Redevelopment (ECDR), hereinafter referred to as the Owner, is making a Request for Proposals (RFP) for qualified and professional Architectural & Engineering Services for a project described as Multi-Family Rehabilitation Program-3507 Guthrie Street, an 11-unit apartment building and parking area that is to be upgraded to current building codes through substantial rehabilitation. The relative work will be primarily financed with U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) federal Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds along with local non-federal funds, which together shall constitute the Project. ECDR is an equal opportunity employer and particularly encourages responses by women- and minority- -owned businesses, and Section 3 businesses. Efforts should be made to include such firms when and where the opportunity exists to participate in this project as sources of supplies, equipment, construction and services. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
