This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Marten Beach, Alberta. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.

Proposals may be delivered to the Province in digital format. Digital Proposals in any form (e.g. CD/DVD, USB flash drive, e-mailed files, etc.) submitted in whole will be accepted as the Proponent's Proposal. Digital proposals should be delivered via email with the RFP number as subject heading to: AEP.Flood@gov.ab.ca Proposals may be delivered by hand, courier, mail, or email to the addresses noted above. Opportunity Description: The purpose of the Marten Beach Flood Study is to assess and identify flood hazards along Marten Creek through the Municipal District of Lesser Slave River, including the Hamlet of Marten Beach. The study will be completed under the provincial Flood Hazard Identification Program (FHIP). Hydraulic modelling and flood mapping is required for approximately 2 km of Marten Creek, extending upstream from its confluence with Lesser Slave Lake to a point upstream of the Range Road 65A bridge crossing in NE18-75-6 W5M, where an unnamed tributary joins Marten Creek from the south (Figure 1). During past floods, flow has spilled out of the unnamed tributary and has flowed west over Range Road 65A. The consultant will need to be able to quantify the overflow and may also require cross sections and modelling along the overflow path. Please note that the illustrated study area does not necessarily reflect the maximum extent of potential flooding that requires mapping, and that the listed reach lengths are approximate. Project Objectives Hydraulic modelling, flood inundation mapping, flood hazard mapping, and summary reporting are the main deliverables of the study, but the scope of work includes the following tasks: (1) survey and base data collection, (2) open water hydrology assessment, (3) open water hydraulic modelling, (4) open water flood inundation mapping, (5) design flood hazard mapping, (6) reporting and documentation, and (7) project management. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
