Renovation of an educational facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. The construction will consist of three base bid phases. Phase 1 will consist of installation of piping isolation valves in order to isolate mechanical rooms from the main heating and cooling systems. Selective pre-TAB readings for documentation of existing conditions. Phase 2 will consist of demolition of five (5) existing 4-pipe constant volume modular air handling units (AHUs) and replacement with new. Phase 3 will consist of demolition of six (6) existing 4- pipe constant volume modular air handling units (AHUs) and replacement with new. Variable speed drives and new HVAC controls will be provided for each new AHU. The existing electrical circuits serving each AHU will be reused and modified as required. Phase 4 (Alternate No. 3) consists of one-for-one replacement of the existing 125-ton water-cooled chiller. Alternate No. 5 consists of addition of variable speed drives to the existing HVAC heating hot water and chiller water pumps
