The Project includes the following Work: This project consists of various improvements to the Town of Kilmarnock Wastewater Treatment Plant, including, but not limited to: o Replacing the influent screen o Replacing the grit removal system o Equalization basin improvements including new aeration system, pumps, and modifications for converting the basin to an offline configuration. o Conversion of the existing biological reactors and clarifiers to a 5-Stage Bardenpho process including new mixers, pumps, diffusers, blowers, baffles, and clarifier mechanism. o Replacing the RAS/WAS pump station o Tertiary filter replacement with cloth disk filters o UV disinfection system replacement o Post aeration basin improvements including new blowers and diffusers o Dewatering improvements including replacement of the rotary fan press with a new centrifuge o Chemical feed system upgrades o Aerobic digester blower and diffuser replacement o Non-potable water system replacement o Miscellaneous site improvements o Installation of a new electrical building including switchgear, generator and automatic transfer switch, and motor control center o New supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents will not be available for purchase from the Owner or Engineer.
