Construction of the Burnaby Mountain - Simon Fraser University Gondola project. Route Option: Production Way-University Station to SFU Bus Exchange. TIMELINE: Conceptual planning is ongoing. TransLink has released new conceptual artistic renderings of the potential design of the aerial public transit line. It is anticipated the business case supporting the gondola, which includes more detailed design work and technical planning is ongoing. All other timelines are undefined at this time. Further update in Fall, 2026, pending funding approvals. *The capital cost is an estimated $210 million. The Burnaby Mountain Gondola project is not yet approved or funded.
