Renovation of a mixed-use development in Kansas City, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; 59,973-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and municipal facility.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Provide alterations to existing 59,973 SF warehouse and office building to build maintenance crew offices, restrooms and locker rooms, conference rooms, and storage spaces. The existing pre-engineered metal building was constructed in 1992 and added to in1994. It was classified under the 1991 Uniform Building Code as a B-2 Occupancy. Construction Type is II-B. The building is fully sprinklered. 2. Work includes selective demolition to allow for new work including slab removal and replacement to allow for new plumbing, miscellaneous metals, cold-formed metal framing and non-structural metal framing for interior walls, hollow metal doors and frames, aluminum storefront and entries, overhead coiling doors, glazing, interior finishes, toilet and shower compartments, lockers, wire mesh partitions and gates,loading dock equipment, plastic laminate casework and counter tops, and projection screens. Work includes awnings over building entrances. Work includes new ramps, stairs, and landings for building entrances. Work also includes new mechanical electrical and plumbing systems and fire protection modifications for the new interior spaces.b Work includes electrical service and water service upgrades.
