The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be done hereunder consist of installation of PCC curb ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter, cross gutter. Removal and replacement of asphalt concrete, base material, general grading, slough walls and NPDES protection measures. Furnishment and installation of traffic signal poles, markings, legends, striping and signage. Project located along the south side of Second Street in the vicinity between Hamner Avenue and southbound I-15 on-ramp. All appurtenant work related to the bid items shall be completed to the satisfaction and acceptance of the City Engineer. Any Contract entered into pursuant to this notice will incorporate the provisions of the State Labor Code. Compliance with the prevailing rates of wages, apprenticeship employment standards, and Contractor registration program established by the State Director of Industrial Relations will be required. Affirmative action to ensure against discrimination in employment practices on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, or religion will be also required. There are 120 working days allowed to complete this project, including any and all alternatives. Liquidated damages shall be assessed at $500.00 per working day.
