Site work for a water / sewer project in Canton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
For Sewer District Project 594B Total Estimated Construction Costs: $263,714.00 The construction required will consist primarily of the installation of 3,470 feet of 6" HDPE directionally drilled force main along with two air/vacuum release chambers. This work includes tying the force main into two existing stubs. The contractor is to initiate construction and mobilize within 30 days from the notice to proceed. The total contract duration is 90 calendar days. Please provide AA Blueprint a consistently monitored email address in order for the Stark County Metropolitan Sewer District to provide an invitation to, and detailed information for, this pre-bid teleconference during the current public health condition. Construction work shall be subject to the prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Commerce. Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code and all bids and certificates shall be upon the forms furnished with the specifications. All bids shall be delivered to the office of the Stark County Commissioners, at or prior to the date and hour specified for receiving bids. In the case of corporations not chartered in Ohio, the bid shall be accompanied by a proper certificate of the Secretary of State, certifying that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of 1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid; or, 2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. The amount of the bid for said guaranty purposes shall include all additive alternates. All bid guaranties shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and surety on any bond shall be liable to the County in an amount not to exceed ten (10) percent of the bid. Each bidder must insure that no employees or applicants for employment are discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap or national origin. Terms of payment shall be as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in sections 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code apply to this project. Copies of section 153.011 of the Ohio Revised Code can be obtained from any of the offices of the department of administrative services. The Stark County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid or combination of bids, which is deemed most favorable to the County at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. The Specifications contain a Bidder's Profile designed to gather certain information that may be considered in this regard. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion.
