This Construction Contract involves but is not limited to the on demand repair ofexisting portions of streets that have been damaged by the replacement ofwater lines. The repair work details are shown on the Typical Section Sheet. There may also be sidewalk repair, curb and gutter repair and concrete alley apron repair as necessary. The contractor will be paid monthly for the work performed during the previous month. Thisrepair will be determined by the City ofAbilene Water Department, and sent to the contractor as they become available. The basis for payment underthis contract is the unit price method. Payment will be for the actual amount ofwork done and material furnished. As determined by the City Manager, as delegated by the Abilene City Council pursuant to Resolution 62-2016, the City ofAbilene will utilize the "best value" competitive bidding method in determining the award ofthe contract, as authorized by Chapter 2269, Texas Government Code. In determining the award ofthe contract, the City ofAbilene will consider the following criteria: 1. the price; 2. the offeror's experience and reputation; 3. the quality ofthe offeror's goods or services; 4. the impact on the ability of the Ctty ofAbilene to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; 5. the offeror's safety record; 6. the offeror's proposed personnel; 7. the offeror's past working relationship with the City of Abile
