Request for Qualifications - RFQ - Contractor 09/24/2020 at 3:00 PM PT From: UCLA Capital Programs, Owner - Bidders completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be received at the University Contracts Administration office in a sealed envelope, or uploaded to the UCLA Online The Contractor shall clean the HVAC components and verify the cleanliness through inspection and/or testing in accordance with items specified in the Bidding Documents and applicable NADCA Standards. B. Duct cleaning shall be limited to all supply air pathways including the supply fan unit, distribution ducting, risers, turning vanes, laterals to terminal units and diffusers. Also included is the cleaning of return air, exhaust air and transfer air diffusers and grilles. C. Prior to any duct cleaning, submit digital photographs of the as-is condition of all ductwork. D. Remove visible surface contaminants and deposits from within the HVAC system in accordance with the Bidding Documents. E. The HVAC system is defined to include all interior surfaces of the facility's air distribution system, including internally lined ductwork as indicated in the Contract Documents and floor plan drawings. This includes ducts from the points where the air enters the system to the points where the air is discharged from the system. Coat all internally lined ductwork with a biocidal growth inhibitor. F. Encapsulate all internally lined ductwork with a water based protective coating to seal all surfaces. Encapsulation shall begin immediately at the air handler, and extend 20'-0" down the ductwork unless otherwise noted by University's Representative. G. Report all missing or degraded insulation. The cost for repair or replacement of missing or degraded insulation, as approved by the University Representative, shall be compensated as provided under the Unit Price, and is not part of the Base Bid Work. See Bid Form and Section 01 21 00. Deliverables after Award of Contract (NOT AT TIME OF BID): A. Product Data: Submit product description and list of materials. B. Submit digital photographs of the as-is condition of all ductwork. C. Submit digital photograph of the ductwork interiors after the work is complete. The "after" photographs shall correspond to the "before" photographs for validation of the work. D. Process: Submit complete process for treatment, encapsulation and repair. All work shall be completed outside normal business hours to avoid disruptions to the building occupants and to the building environment. Optional Job Walk shall be limited to two (2) participants from each Firm attending the Pre-Bid Conference. Participants must wear face masks and will be screened for COVID 19 symptoms.Bidders are advised that parking may be difficult. Bidders should allow ample time to drive to the above location in heavy traffic, find a parking space, walk to the building, and arrive in the designated location prior to the required time. It is currently anticipated that the Site Visit will last at least 1 hour.) Location University of California, Los Angeles Additional Job Walks will be provided as requested. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
