The classification of Contractors license required in the performance of this Contract is Class A. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California (DIR) prior to submitting a bid on any public works project, pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Bids from contractors or subcontractors that are not currently registered as required will be deemed non responsive. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR Pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773 of the Labor Code of the State of California, City has obtained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in this locality for each craft, classification, or type of workman needed to execute the contract from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations. The general items of work to be done here under consist of The scope of work will consist of rehabilitation of storm drain culverts at three different locations along Clinton Keith Road. The work includes removal and replacement of corrugated metal storm drain pipes (CMP) with reinforced concrete pipes (RCP). There are a total of seven CMP storm drain pipes to be removed and replaced; four pipes are 48-inches in diameter, two pipes are 30-inches in diameter, and one pipe is 36-inches in diameter. Other work includes construction of concrete collars, manholes, pavement removal and restoration, curb gutter and sidewalk removal and restoration, striping, surveying, traffic control, and landscape restoration as shown on the plans, these special provisions or as directed by the City Engineer.
