Generally, but not limited to, the work consists of removing existing curbs, excavating existing roads, adding granular materials such as MG-112 and MG-20, constructing new concrete curbs, new paving, and paving a single layer, and reclamation. The paving consists of one (1) single layer of type ESG-14 70 mm thick with a PG 58H-34 bitumen. The price of bitumen is not indexable. Bids must be accompanied either by a bid bond or by a certified check established at 10% of the amount of the work, valid for a period of sixty (60) days from the date on which the bids are opened, made payable to the Municipality of Metabetchouan-Lac-a-la-Croix. Bidders are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for the content of their bid, and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licenses. The Municipality does not undertake to accept either the lowest or any of the tenders received and declines all responsibility with regard to the tenderers. The Municipality reserves the right not to retain any tender, in particular if the proposed price of the lowest compliant tender shows a significant difference with that provided for in the estimate established by the Municipality or is higher than market rates .
