Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Sparta, Michigan. Working plans call for the construction of a 3,900-square-foot transportation facility.

**As of February 24, 2021, Project is on hold, rebid date still unknown. The work covered by this section of the specifications consists of detailed design and construction including furnishing all labor, equipment, appliances, materials and incidentals and in performing all operating and incidental service required to construct the following: one (1) eight (8) unit, metal sided, fully nested, T-hangar building including electrically operated bi-fold doors, concrete floor, hot mix asphalt access drives and restoration as generally shown on drawings and specified herein. Alternate #1 shall increase the number of hangars to ten (10) by adding one-unit hangar to each side. Alternate #2 includes construction of restrooms and mechanical/electrical area including insulated walls, doors, locks, fixtures, heaters and all accessories necessary to construct and ADA compliant restroom. The alternate also include installation of a water well, septic system and drain field Including all necessary appurtenances and restoration. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for by funds received from the Village of Sparta. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to the Village of Sparta in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of Thirty (30) days after the receipt of bids. It is the Owner's intent to break ground in the fall of 2020 and construct the hangar structure over the winter. When the structure is complete and ready for occupancy, a stop order will be issued for the remaining site work to be completed in the spring of 2021. The project shall be completed within ninety (90) days from date of Notice to Proceed.
