DOC 5878658 Construction of 216th Street Replacement Trunk Sewer Phase 2, Located at S. Figueroa Street Approximately 50 Feet North of 230 Th Street, Proceeding Northly in S. South Figueroa Street, and Ending at Approximately 150 Feet South of 215th Street. This Project is the Second of Two (2) Phases to Replace the Existing 216th Street Trunk and the 216th Street Relocation Trunk Sewers. The Project is Located Entirely Within the City of Carson, California. The Work Consists of Construction of Approximately 5,640 Feet of 54-inch Diameter Pvc Lined Rgrcp or Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (Frp) Pipe Replacement Sewer and Appurtenant Structures, and All Appurtenant Work. The District encourages Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to submit bids. Estimated Value: $10,500,000-$13,000,000 For technical questions concerning the project, plans, and specifications, contact Oscar Morales at (562) 908-4288, extension 1630. The Board of Directors may award the contract for the above described work, either at the meeting of the Board of Directors to be held at the above-stated address, on January 13, 2021 beginning at 1:30 p.m., or at any other meeting of the Board of Directors within 120 days after the date listed above for receipt of bids. The Board of Directors may reject all bids. Unless all bids are rejected, award will be made to the low, responsive, responsible bidder. The work of construction must be completed within 350 WORKING DAYS after the date in the Notice to Proceed. The City of Carson also requires the Contractor to secure Performance Bond and Payment Bond (Labor and Materials) naming the City of Carson in the amount of disturbance anticipated within the City limits. The Contractor shall provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for an estimated project cost of $2,962,450 within the City of Carson. Bids will be reported to the Board of Directors of the District at its meeting at 1:30 p.m. on January 13, 2021. The Board of Directors may reject all bids or waive technical defects at the discretion of the District's board. In the event of any such rejection, the Districtshall not be liable for any costsincurred in connection with the preparation and submittal of a bid. The District Board may award a contract for the work at any meeting of the Board of Directors within 120 days after the date listed above for receipt of bids.
