The work to be performed consists, in general, of three phases. Phase One, the Contractor shall furnish and install: conduit, pull boxes and foundations for a pedestal and new street light poles. Phase Two, the City shall furnish and install: service pedestal and controls, conductors, splicing, light poles and luminaires. Phase Three shall not begin until the new lighting system is operational. Phase Three, the Contractor shall: remove, deliver and unload old light poles to the City Storage Facility located at 2000 South Union Avenue, remove and dispose of old pull boxes, fill pull boxes located in sidewalk with concrete, remove pole foundations and series circuit conductors and conduit to 12'' below grade. Contractor shall refer to part B of these specifications for the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials (asbestos/lead). This bid is for Phase 1 and Phase 3, which is the Contractor's responsibility. During the bidding of this project, contractors who have questions or desire clarifications about the bid documents, must submit those questions or requests for clarifications in writing using the form provided in the bid documents.
