Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Xenia, Ohio. Working plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project.

The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. The services of qualified Design-Build teams to provide Design-Build Services for the progressive design build of the planned Water Treatment Plant upgrade. The successful firm / team shall meet the requirements for qualifications as listed in the ORC 153.65 (D) and have on staff a minimum of one licensed or accredited professional for each of the services required. all questions are to be directed to Mr. Gilbert, by email at rgilbert@co.greene.oh.us. The Board of County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any or all submittals and to waive any irregularity, should same be to the advantage of the County. 1.3% minority business enterprise (MBE) 1.0% women business enterprise (WBE) The purpose of the project is to increase the capacity of the existing NRWTP from 10.5 MGD to 12 MGD and integrate reverse osmosis (RO) membrane softening into the treatment process. The constructed facilities shall allow for the future expansion of the NRWTP to increase capacity to 16 MGD. The Owner's Consultant is currently evaluating alternatives for the upgrade and expansion of the NRWTP and will select a preferred alternative based on initial capital cost, ongoing operation and maintenance costs, and other non-cost factors. Options for integrating membrane softening into the existing treatment process are currently being evaluated and include the following: Increasing the hydraulic loading rate of the filters to increase the filtered water production rate from 10.5 MGD to 14 MGD, feeding a portion of the filtered water to the RO system, and blending RO permeate with excess filtered water for finished water remineralization and stabilization; Maintaining the current hydraulic loading rate of the filters, construction of additional filters to increase filtered water production rate from 10.5 MGD to 14 MGD, feeding a portion of the filtered water to the RO system, and blending RO permeate with excess filtered water for finished water remineralization and stabilization.
