All bids shall be submitted via email to SecureBids@redmond.gov following the naming convention and instructions outlined in Section 1-02.9 The bid opening will be held via Microsoft Teams Live Event. Prior to the bid opening, the link to the webcast will be provided on BXWA and the City's website at redmond.gov/bids (in the bid item for this project). The Work to be performed is under three bid schedules: General Conditions Schedule A, Fire Station 14 Schedule B, and Fire Station 18 Schedule C. Both Fire Stations shall be constructed completely under one construction schedule. This Work shall include: seismic upgrades to two fire stations, including but not limited to installation of supplemental shear walls, seismic bracing of mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, architectural seismic upgrades, and other work necessary to complete the project. Engineer's Estimate for Fire Station 14 Schedule A and Fire Station 18 Schedule B work is $2,500,000 to $3,500,000. All physical work shall be completed in the time specified in Section 1-08.5. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier's check or surety bid bond made payable to the City of Redmond, for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid including sales tax, and all listed additives and alternates. The City of Redmond, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or gender in consideration for an award.
