The Town of Orange requests bids from qualified contractors for the installation of a dry fire sprinkler system and removal of the existing wet system serving the second floor of the Silverbrook Estates elderly apartments located at 100 Red Cedar Road in Orange, CT. Qualified Partnership NO Includes SBE/MBE Requirements NO All questions shall be submitted by email to the Director of Public Works at bbrinton@orange-ct.gov. All questions will be answered by email. Any question received after 10:00 am on October 6, 2020, will not be answered. Bidders are requested to provide contact information to the town by emailing snapoli@orange-ct.gov and bbrinton@orange-ct.gov, to ensure that they receive bid addenda and other notifications. Each bidder shall submit a bid security in the amount of 10% of his total bid. The security shall be in the form of certified check or bond issued by a company licensed to do so by the State of Connecticut. Unsuccessful bidders' security will be returned within ten (10) working days after issuance of bid award. Properly executed Performance and Payment Bonds, in the amount of 100% of the total contract price, shall be submitted, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of notice of award, to the following Town Official: Director of Public Works / Town Engineer Town of Orange 617 Orange Center Road. The Town of Orange reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any minor bid informality or irregularity, to take into account the residency and business location of bidders within the Town of Orange, and to award the bid deemed by the Town of Orange to be in its best interest.
