Estimated total cost of the project: $700,000. Project Scope: The City of Springfield is seeking to hire a contractor to replace failed drainage infrastructure on South Branch Parkway at the intersection with Briarwood Avenue, and within Gunnery Sargent Thomas J. Sullivan Park. The project includes replacing approximately 120-feet of the drainage trunk line along Briarwood Avenue including the concrete headwall, and deteriorated manhole in the intersection. The project also includes replacing and reconfiguring storm drainage pipes that feed into this manhole. Water main replacement is also included to facilitate installation of the proposed drainage improvements. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women participation in all contracts. All questions regarding bid or its specifications must be received by the Office of Procurement no later than March 24, 2022 by 4:00 P.M. The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
