Contract No. 009687 PROJECT IDENTIFYING NUMBER CL-2022-133 Question Cutoff Date 2/26/2022 01:00:00 PM (ET) The Sites of the Work are Pumping Plant # 1A, which is located at the Alfred Merritt Smith Water Treatment Facility, 243 Lakeshore Road, Boulder City, NV 89005 and Pumping Plant # 2A, which is located one and-a-half (1.5) miles west of the Alfred Merritt Smith Water Treatment Facility. The Work consists of replacing two (2), existing, trolley-mounted electric hoists with new, trolley-mounted electric hoists rated at 12.5 tons at Pumping Plant #'s 1A and 2A. The existing hoists manufactured by the ACCO Wright Co. are mounted on existing, overhead bridge cranes provided by the Frontier Industrial Machinery Corp. The lifting capacity of the existing bridge cranes and hoists is 10.0 tons. The project additionally includes structurally modifying the existing bridges and bridge trolleys to increase the lifting capacity of the bridges to the 12.5 ton rating. The scope of work includes providing the steel materials for the structural modifications and performing the structural modifications to both bridge cranes and bridge trolleys. The structural analysis and the design of the structural modifications for the bridges and bridge trolleys has been completed by ES2, Engineering System Solutions Company. There is one bridge crane at each pumping plant, and the cranes at each plant are identical in all respects. This contract includes detailed specifications for bridge cranes and hoists in Section 41 22 13. Please refer to this section for additional details on the scope of work and equipment specifications.
