The works to be carried out are as follows: Demolition of the elements and surfaces indicated on the plans; Development of a concrete and asphalt path; Concrete pavement surface; Concrete curb; Development of a sandbox; Formatting. Excavation and backfill ; Modification to an existing chain link fence and the supply and installation of baffles; Installation of a new cedar fiber play area; Planting and sodding; The supply and installation of a shade cloth; The supply and installation of street furniture; The supply and installation of large decorative stone. as well as all related work described in the specifications. QUALIFICATION Only companies having their main place of business in the province of Quebec are authorized to bid for this project or when an intergovernmental agreement is applicable. OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS AND CONDITIONS Tender documents can be obtained at electronic tender system or at 1-866-669-7326. TENDER AND CONTRACT GUARANTEE General contractors must include in their bid: A certified check or a bid bond issued by an insurance company in the amount of ten percent (10%) of their total bid. The bid security must be valid for ninety (90) days. A letter of intent issued by an insurance company confirming that if the contract is awarded and accepted, it will issue in favor of the Town of Kirkland, a performance bond and a bond for the payment of labor work, materials and services, each for fifty percent (50%) of the contract of service. The tenderer who submits his tender on a paper medium must provide three copies ( one original and two copies). The Town of Kirkland does not undertake to accept either the tender having obtained the highest score or any of the tenders received, nor to incur any obligation or any cost of any kind towards the tenderer(s). award is subject to final approval.
