For Fire Alarm Replacement at Conwell Middle School Sub Contractor-MBE Range: 15%-20% WBE Range: 10%-15% Materials & Supplies- MWBE Range: 10%-15% The Project consists of the construction of replacement of fire alarm system, and removal of existing system. Contract type: A single prime contract. The scope or work as described in the project specifications and as shown on the project drawings. 1) Remove existing fire alarm system completely including fire alarm control panel, pull stations, bells, horns, smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct detectors, raceways, fire alarm wiring, power supply circuit to the panels, fused disconnect for power circuit, etc. Provide new steel cover plates on existing boxes where devices are removed. Exact quantities of existing devices to be removed may not be indicated on the drawings. The design-intent is for all existing devices to be removed completely for installation of the new entire-building Fire Alarm System. The existing fire alarm system shall not be demolished until the new system has been installed and accepted. 2) Provide new addressable fire alarm system including fire alarm control panel, pull stations, horns, strobes, horn/strobe units, smoke detectors, duct smoke detectors, heat detectors, remote annunciators, conduits, raceways, fire alarm wiring, power supply circuit to the fire alarm control panel, and remote power booster panels, addressable interface module and associated wiring as required for monitoring of kitchen fire suppression system or any other non-addressable devices, remote test switch with alarm indicating light for each duct detector, control relays for fan shut down, control wiring to fan motor starter for fan shut down function, etc. System shall be warranted for 3 years, including maintenance.
