Elevate and Install Three Engineered Foundations for Three Single-family Residential Structures The Northern Neck Planning District Commission (NNPDC) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors to elevate and install three engineered foundations for three single-family residential structures in Northumberland County, as part of a Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Project. The project consists in elevating three (3) separate structures. Separate contracts will be awarded for each of the three properties, for which there will be a threeparty contract between the NNPDC, the owner of the property, and the contractor. These improvements are funded through a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM). Local, minority-owned, and female-owned firms are encouraged to respond. The contractor shall provide all materials and labor to elevate the existing residence(s) to the prescribed elevation(s) and to construct a new foundation system for each structure, plus all associated services described in the plans. The contractor shall demolish the existing exterior slabs, steps, and foundations, and haul all debris to an approved landfill.
