Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of January 13th, 2021, a selection has been confirmed. In general the work consists of: The installation of interconnecting piping and instrumentation and low voltage cabling to a new air compressor installed by the State. Piping to be installed includes process air piping, lake water (cooling water) supply and return piping, and compressor drain piping. The work includes supply and installation of pipe supports and pipe insulation. Electrical work consists of installation of a 480V power feed to the compressor, and installation of instrumentation and control wiring from the compressor and system instruments to an existing control panel. All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $50,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements.
