Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Franklin Square Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner A. The purpose of the project is provide a new packed tower and AOP treatmetn system for the Theodora Street Plant. B. All work shown and specified in the Contract Documents shall be the work of this Construction Contract. The Owner does not anticipate awarding other prime contracts for the project as shown. C. This Section provides an abbreviated summary of the work for the Construction Contracts associated with the Owner's program to construct the project. D. Each Contractor has been provided with copies of all relevant construction drawings for related construction contracts whose work may directly effect and impact the work under this Contract. 1. Each Contractor shall provide a complete and operational project in anticipation of these affects and impacts. 2. It is each Contractor's responsibility to investigate the work that will be performed by others and consider such in the conduct of his/her work. All RFI questions by all contractors shall be submitted by Wednesday, October 21, by 2:00 PM. A final addendum addressing all RFIs and contractor inquiries will be issued the following day.
