The Project will install native plantings, irrigation, and multi-use trails within an open space preserve creek corridor Contract No. 4481 North Vineyard Station Open Space Preserve Trail And Landscaping Project -Elder Creek Phase 4 And Gerber Creek Phase 1 along a section of Elder Creek and Gerber Creek. The Elder Creek Phase 4 section of the Project will install approximately 11.6 acres of native mitigation planting, approximately 15,000 feet of mainline and lateral irrigation pipe, and all other work specified on the plans and in the specifications. The Gerber Creek Phase 1 section of the Project will install approximately 16.0 acres of native mitigation planting, approximately 19,000 feet of mainline and lateral irrigation pipe, 2,725 feet of paved bicycle path, 2,300 feet of equestrian trail, and all other work specified on the plans and in the specifications. The Project creek sections will be landscaped as a natural riparian corridor by planting native trees, shrubs, wetlands, and grasses within the creek bottom, along the channel banks,and surrounding uplands.The Project includes a minimum 5-year monitoring period that begins after plant installation. Award of this contract requires a valid California Contractor's license with the classification identified above. The landscaping portion of work shall be installed by a Contractor with a Class C-27 Landscaping Contractor License. Bidders are required to submit Attachment A - Bidder's Experience Questionnaire with their bid to detail the licensed Class C-27 Landscape Contractor's habitat restoration experience. Attachment A - Bidder's Experience Questionnaire is an integral part of the bid proposal which must be fully executed and submitted as an attachment to the prime Contractor's bid form.Award of the contract requires the bidder to demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the County, that the bidder possess the experience required to perform the work specified in the contract. Habitat restoration projects are habitat restoration, mitigation, creation, or enhancement projects which generally include site preparation, planting and seeding, weed control including mowing and use of herbicides, and plant maintenance and plant establishment performance criteria. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder.
