Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 420,000-square-foot, 12-story above grade conference / convention center; for site work for a conference / convention center; day care center; day care center; fitness / recreation center; and fitness / recreation center.
As of August 4, 2025, this project is completed. White Construction has been selected as the General Contractor to construct The 1601 Congress Building (Package 5 - Core and Shell) for the Texas Facilities Commission located just North of the Texas Capitol Building between 16th and 17th Streets. The new building will be 12 floors high, with roughly 420,000 GSF. This building will also include five levels of underground parking, a new state employees' child care facility, a ground level cafe, a shared wellness center, and a shared conferencing center for State Agencies.
