Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Austin, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a conference / convention center; day care center; and fitness / recreation center.
As of August 4, 2025, this project is completed. White Construction has been selected as the General Contractor to construct The 1601 Congress Building (Package 5 – Core and Shell) for the Texas Facilities Commission located just North of the Texas Capitol Building between 16th and 17th Streets. Bid Documents are now available for the following scopes of work. Audio Visual The new building will be 12 floors high, with roughly 420,000 GSF. This building will also include five levels of underground parking, a new state employees’ child care facility, a ground level café, a shared wellness center, and a shared conferencing center for State Agencies.
