Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cambridge, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

As of 11/11/2020 The EDA and City Council will approve the bid award to the contractor on Monday November 16. Approx 600 squares of fully adhered EPDM roofing, including skylight replacement and mechanical/electrical rehabilitation Roof Replacement and Mechanical Rehabilitation at Cambridge City Hall, 300 Third Avenue NE, Cambridge, Minnesota City Center Mall, 140 Buchanan Street North, Cambridge, Minnesota A. Work Areas: 1. Reroofing on City Hall Areas A1-A6 2. Reroofing on City Center Mall Area B1 3. Mechanical/electrical rehabilitation at both buildings 4. Modifications to existing coax cables that run along the east roof edge at both buildings, and also at City Market (no-reroofing area) B. Existing Roof Construction: 1. Area A1: 1/8"/ft. structurally sloped, 1-1/2" narrow ribbed steel deck, 6-mil poly vapor retarder, two layers of 2" isocyanurate insulation with 1//2"/ft. tapered cricket at the north parapet, and a rock ballasted EPDM membrane. 2. Area A2: 1/8"/ft. structurally sloped, 1-1/2" narrow ribbed steel deck, 6-mil poly vapor retarder, two layers of 2" isocyanurate insulation, 1/2" cover board, and a rock ballasted EPDM membrane. 3. Area A3: Flat 3" steel deck, 1/4"/ft. tapered isocyanurate insulation (0 to 2" thick), 1.5" isocyanurate insulation, and a loose laid EPDM membrane without ballast. 4. Area A4: Flat 3" steel deck, tapered isocyanurate, 2" isocyanurate insulation, and a loose laid EPDM membrane without ballast. 5. Area A5: Flat 1-1/2" narrow ribbed steel deck, 6 mil poly vapor retarder, tapered isocyanurate insulation (1-1/2" to 3" thick), 2" isocyanurate insulation, and a loose laid EPDM membrane without ballast. 6. Area A6: Flat 3" steel deck, tapered isocyanurate insulation (3/4" to 2-1/2" thick), and a loose laid EPDM membrane without ballast. 7. Area B1: 1/8"/ft. structurally sloped 1-1/2" narrow ribbed steel deck, two layers of 2" isocyanurate insulation with a 1/2"/ft. tapered isocyanurate insulation cricket at the east roof edge mechanically fastened to the deck, followed by a fully adhered EPDM membrane. Remove obsolete penetrations indicated on the Drawings and cover opening in deck. Replace existing roof-related wood blocking slated for reuse if it contains more than 19 percent moisture, shows evidence of rotting, or is otherwise in a condition that provides an unsuitable substrate to receive new materials. On all areas, remove existing ballast, membrane, flashings, and wet, damaged, or deteriorated insulation. Install new scuppers, overflow suppers, downspouts, splashpans, pipe box enclosures, pipe supports, walkway pads, and safety rail.
