The selected firm shall provide personnel local to the project site such that neither commuting or lodging expenses are incurred. The selected firm's personnel shall work under an INDOT Area Engineer. INDOT will control the hours and staffing of these personnel who may be required to work during the winter season, work up to 12 hours per day, and/or work at night. The LOI must specify the names of the project engineer or supervisor and inspectors who will be supplying services under this contract. These individuals will be rated on the scoring form in the Project Manager category. The selected firm shall furnish all construction field testing equipment necessary to sample and test materials in accordance with INDOT procedures. The selected firm shall also submit a man-hour justification/fee proposal to INDOT within one week of notification of selection. If the advertised project is cancelled or rescheduled, INDOT may substitute, one for one, a similar project in the same proximity in the same District. Consultants without audited field overhead rates may propose a field rate at the time of contract negotiation. Past performance scoring will not be applied to this item.
