A bid bond, payable to the Medina Township Road District, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price, as a proposal guarantee, shall accompany each such bid. Bids may be held for a period of up to sixty (60) days prior to making an award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Contract Bond to the Medina Township Road District an amount equal to his contract price. In accordance with 820/ILCS 130/3 and 130/5, this contract is subject to all of the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. Prevailing wages may change monthly and it is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure the correct wage is being paid. The Contractor and Subcontractors are required to submit monthly certified payroll records. In accordance with Public Act 96-0635, effective 1/1/08, all Contractors and Subcontractors, performing any contractual public work subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, shall have in place a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program filed with the public body engaged in public works. The successful Contractor shall file the Substance Abuse Prevention Program (s), with the Medina Township Road District, prior to award of the Contract. The Medina Township Road Commissioner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities in any or all bids.The work under this contract consists ofinstalling a fiberglass lining in two culverts at two different locations and other incidental and collateral work
