Bids may be held for a period of up to sixty (60) days prior to making an award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Contract Bond to the Township in an amount equal to the contract price. In accordance with 820/ILCS 130/3 and 130/5, this contract is subject to all of the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and is subject to the payment of prevailing wages. Prevailing wages change periodically, and it is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure the correct wages are being paid. The Contractor and Subcontractors are required to submit monthly certified payroll records. In accordance with Public Act 96-0635, effective 1/1/08, all Contractors and Subcontractors, performing any contractual public work subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, shall have in place a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program filed with the public body engaged in public works. The successful Contractor shall file the Substance Abuse Prevention Program (s), with the Township, prior to award of the Contract. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities in any or all bids. The work under this contract will consist of HMA surface course removal, HMA surface course, bituminous surface treatments, tilling, pavement markings, miscellaneous removals and other incidental and collateral work as shown on the plans and as specified herein.
