Batavia Park District will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors for improvements to the Civic Center, located in the City of Batavia, Kane County, IL The project includes, but is not limited to, the following: HVAC units replacement at the Civic Center as described in the drawings and specifications. The work includes the replacement of several furnace and condenser units and associated equipment installation. A contract will be awarded at the July 19th, 2022 meeting of the Park Board. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Bidders will be responsible for any associated costs. Bidding documents may be examined between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. This is a public works project, which would require payment of prevailing rates of wage in accordance with Illinois law. The owner encourages minority business firms to submit bids for the performance of the work and the successful bidder to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors and suppliers for labor, equipment, and services. The Batavia Park District reserves the right to reject any/or all bid proposals or to accept any bid proposal, which in its judgement, will be the best interest of the public, or to waive any informalities in bidding. Only bid proposals in compliance with the provisions of the Contract Documents will be considered. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date of opening.
