As of January 26, 2022, an engineer has been selected for the project. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to 4th quarter of 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Springfield has posted a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Construction Manager at-Risk (CMAR) services for Renew Jordan Creek - Main to Boonville (2019PW0073). The requested services include pre-construction CMAR services. Critical dates and timelines for CMAR selection are below: October 12, 2020 The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. The proposed project comprises two large blocks in the urbanized center of Jordan Valley Park, bordered on the east by Boonville Avenue, Water Street on the south, Main Street on the west, and Mill Street on the north. Much of the project area is within Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) floodplain within downtown Springfield, Missouri. The work involves significant modifications to existing floodplain and floodway areas along Jordan Creek and may entail daylighting portions of Jordan Creek currently confined within the existing concrete box culverts. The overall project area is depicted on Exhibit A and includes a section of existing Jordan Creek box culverts through downtown from N. Main Ave. to N. Boonville Ave. The project is bounded by two existing planned Capital Improvement Projects: (1) the N. Main Ave. Bridge (2017PW0018, Exhibit B) on the western limits of the project area, and (2) the Jordan Creek Box Culvert Segment at IDEA Commons (2018PW0022, Exhibit C) on the eastern limits of the project area. These two projects are so closely connected with this project that the construction will be combined under one contract to realize efficiencies in construction and flexibility in scheduling and therefore shall be included in the CMAR’s scope of work for this project.
