The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking a contractor to construct two (2) Stormwater Treatment Areas (STA's) on two separate parcels of land owned by the City. The project will consist of excavating the existing land into wet detention ponds, along with installation of piping, control structures, sidewalk, sheet pile weir and utility adjustments. These proposed projects are in the general vicinity described below: East STA- North of NW Floresta Drive, south/west of NW Concord Dr and east of NW Bryson St (Parcel ID 3420-620-2311-000-0) West STA - North of NW Riverside Dr, south of NW Ferris Dr, in between NW Kingston St and NW Concord Dr. (Parcel Id's 3420-620-0603--000-0 & 3420-620-0602-000-3) These STA's will be constructed in accordance with the design plans, project specifications, and applicable permits. The contractor will be responsible for dewatering (and obtaining a dewatering permit if necessary), maintenance of traffic and providing record drawings signed and sealed by a licensed surveyor. The construction activities shall be in accordance with the attached approved construction plans and technical specifications prepared by Captec Engineering, Inc. All construction shall be completed within 270 calendar days. The City is requesting an alternate bid on the purchasing and installation for both the Landscaping and Aquatic plantings for the Sagamore East and West STA's. These plantings shall be in accordance with the design plans and specifications. All upland landscaping and aquatic plantings shall be completed within 90 days after the construction of the STA's are completed. A Bidder/Respondent may withdraw his bid without prejudice to himself before award. A Bidder/Respondent may not change or adjust submitted quote or bid after closing date and time. Under no circumstances shall bids delivered after the time specified be accepted or considered. The City of Port St. Lucie reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any and all informalities or irregularities, to negotiate with any qualified Proposers, and to accept or reject all or any part of any proposal as it may deem to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City.
