Renovation of a power facility in Omaha, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
1. This BC-1 Magnet Project scope includes building a structural steel support frame and monorail system over BC-1 that will suspend an elector-magnet to be used for tramp metal removal from the coal on BC-1. 2. The project will include all structural steel framing, foundations and concrete pad work along with power and control wiring from a District identified source of power at the Transfer House. In addition, the project includes a 6-ton motorized monorail and hoist system for moving the magnet within the support structure. The project scope also includes two modifications to BC-1 to accommodate the magnet installation. 3. OPPD has purchased and is in possession of the Eriez electro-magnet and magnet control panel. Both will be installed by the Contractor. 4. This document, the contract drawings, equipment drawings and sketches of the BC-1 modifications includes the minimum technical requirements and information for the project.
