The project shall provide improved indoor air quality through ventilation and humidity control for the second and third floors. The scope of work shall include the installation of a dedicated outside air heat exchange unit to precondition the ventilation air, along with distribution duct. Contractors and anyone working on the site will be required to follow NC Sate COVID-19 prevention guidelines. The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. North Carolina State University has an affirmative policy of fostering, promoting and conducting business with minority owned enterprises. Minority contractors are encouraged to participate in the bidding process. The bidder must include completed minority business subcontractor documentation form(s) with their proposal or the bid may be considered non-responsive and invalid. This project is designed and specified to add a rooftop dedicated outdoor air handler (DOAH) on the roof of Brooks Hall Matsumoto Wing located at NC State University's main campus. The DOAH will provide ventilation air and relief air to the second and third floors of the Matsumoto Wing that currently do not have mechanical means of outdoor air ventilation. Equipment is sized to provide future capacity for first floor ventilation for use in future renovation projects. The DOAH includes a total enthalpy energy recovery wheel in addition to chilled water cooling coil and a steam reheat coil to deliver dehumidified neutral temperature air into the facility. Addendum #1 -#3 have been issued as of 2-15-2022. All contractor questions are due by 5 PM on Monday January 31, 2022
