Renovation of a municipal facility in Gardner, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project includes furnishing all labor, equipment and materials required to perform the Remediation Project at the 140 South Main Street property in Gardner, Massachusetts. The project includes, but is not limited to, contaminated soil excavation, retaining wall removal, contaminated groundwater pumping and treatment, contaminated sediment excavation, and incidental items including site restoration as set forth in the specifications. All bids for this project are subject to the precisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M, as amended. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D, as amended. It is the responsibility of the contractor, before bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified or cashier's check, payable to the City of Gardner, is required in a dollar amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. A payment bond for 50% of the total contract price, issued by a satisfactory surety company, shall be required by the successful bidder. The City of Gardner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to accept proposals deemed to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received. Bids may not be withdrawn within 30 days of the bid opening Design Participation: Combined MBE/WBE goal of (17.9%) Construction Participation: Combined MBE/WBE goal of (10.4%)
